Parashat HaShavua:
Wonders in the Weekly Torah Portion
Session 1: Genesis/Bereishit

The weekly Torah portion is an essential focal point for Jewish learning. In this class we will participate in a tradition that links Jews around the world and across millennia, bringing our individual experiences and perspectives as we engage with ancient teachings to draw contemporary life lessons.

The class will meet weekly, following the annual cycle of Shabbat Torah readings, and will convene in two separate sections: in person on Wednesdays, 4:30–6pm, at the shul, in the library; and online on Thursdays, 1–2:30pm ET, via Zoom.

IN PERSON: Wednesdays, 4:30–6pm ET, beginning October 22
(Seven sessions: 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17)
ONLINE VIA ZOOM: Thursdays, 12–1:30pm ET, beginning October 23
(Eight sessions: 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18)

Free for WJC members.
$36 for Friends of the WJC.
$54 for nonmembers.
